Brisbane To Wagga via Byron Bay

I'm now using this post as an excuse to test out the Photo Slideshow thing.

Fingers Crossed:

Leaving Brisbane

So I'm going to write a few little blogs just to dip my toe in the Blog Pool and test out a few things. If this post ends up having no pictures or links or anything but text, you'll know I've got the shits with it and given up.
On Monday, 19th Decmeber I packed my van and headed south with the intention of heading back to Wagga Wagga for Xmas via Byron Bay.
The days before were spent saying my various goodbyes to the people who had become great friends over the last two and a half years - it was a bit sad and I was very humbled by everyone who wished me well for the future.
A nice afternoon was spent on Saturday at the RE sinking a few ciders.

I hope the insertion of the above pic will work.

So that pic (which I now assume is showing up above the last two sentences is a little taster of the Album of pics taken entitled "Leaving Brisbane". Now for my attempt to insert said album into blog:

Leaving Brisbane

And to celebrate the successful album insertion, let's change font colour, style AND size.  BAM!!

A journey of a thousand miles...

Well, what a cliched and ultimately unsatisfying way to begin my first ever Blog post, oh! and to announce my radical departure from my now former Brisbane life.
I won't dick about with formalities: In short, I've quit my job, bought a van and plan to hit the road for an unspecified amount of time.
Have I gone mad? Am I crazy? Have I really thought this through? I have no idea...but it's what I've decided to do so let's see what life throws up over the next little while.
There are a lot of unknowns in this little decision which is equal parts scary and exciting.
I'm reluctant to reveal too much at this stage in case I end up home with my tail between my legs in a couple of weeks but I said the same thing about my move to Brisbane and that love affair lasted two and a half years (and will no doubt be rekindled later down the track).
So after hours of mucking about with blog templates and all that crap I've come up with something that works and looks ok so this is it.
I'm really not sure what will be put on this blog and how motivated I'll be to maintain it but I've made the first step, so bring on those thousand miles (thanks Confucius!)
